Brazil in a glass: lime, sugar, cachaça, crushed ice.

you'll need a bigger shop for one or two things · needs cachaça

HOW TO MAKE IT

1 drink

  1. 1Add 1 lime, cut in wedges to a rocks glass (white core cut out).
  2. 2Add 4 tsp sugar, then press gently with a muddler (press out the juice).
  3. 3Fill the glass with crushed ice.
  4. 4Pour in 60 ml cachaça.
  5. 5Stir for about 10 seconds, gently, to lift the lime and melt the sugar.
  6. 6Garnish with a lime slice (on the rim).

YOU'LL NEED

  • 60 mlcachaça
  • 1lime, cut in wedges
  • 4 tspsugar
  • crushed ice
  • 1lime slice

tip: Cut out the white core of the lime: it's the bitter part.

tip: No crushed ice? Wrap cubes in a tea towel and bash them with a rolling pin.
